Glenn Johnson is the founder, CEO and a Principal Engineer of The Vizius Group, a cybersecurity and technology consulting firm in Greenville, SC. He has worked in information security since 1986, when he started as an electrical engineering tech for an undersea robotics company. He later served as Principal Engineer and CISO at Stalwart and as CIO/CISO for NorthState. His focus is quantitative risk analysis, security strategy and architecture, BC/DR, and fractional CISO and CIO work. He holds CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC and PMP.

David Hyde-Volpe is CTO and Principal Engineer at Vizius. His work centers on secure coding, statistical modeling, penetration testing and security architecture. He designed Vizius service offerings built on automation and quantitative analytics, including RedPill, a model that estimates the likelihood of a breach and its likely loss scenarios. Before Vizius he was Corporate Security Technical Manager at NorthState. David holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Clemson and completed Ph.D. coursework in theoretical chemistry at Clemson and Georgia Tech. He holds GCIH, GSEC and GMON.

Laura Grindley has been Business Operations Manager at Vizius since the firm launched in December 2020. She runs internal operations, project management, accounting and logistics so the engineers can stay focused on client work. Before Vizius she supported the technology team at NorthState, where she studied for and earned information security certifications to deepen her understanding of the work. She holds GSEC and CompTIA A+ certifications and a B.A. from the College of William and Mary.

Max Dinges is a Principal Engineer at Vizius with more than 20 years in information technology. He designs and secures complex infrastructure, with deep experience in network design and microsegmentation using Cisco ACI, ASA and Firepower and Palo Alto Networks firewalls. His systems work spans Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange and Linux. He automates provisioning with Terraform and Ansible and writes tooling in Bash, PowerShell, SQL and Python. Max holds CCNA and MCITP certifications and a B.S. in Political Science from Methodist University.

Cameron Cromer is a Principal Engineer at Vizius, promoted to the role in 2025. He works where technology, people and business meet, with a focus on business technology strategy, cross-functional leadership, AI strategy, cybersecurity and compliance. His hands-on skills include virtualization, end-user compute, scripting, software development and automation. He has written for the Vizius blog about using symbolic links to keep OneDrive and SharePoint folders in sync without scheduled scripts. Cameron holds ITIL v4 Foundation and a B.S. in Applied Computer Science from Southern Wesleyan University.

David Frazer is a Staff Engineer at Vizius focused on automation, security architecture and threat detection. He designs and deploys network and system security controls in cloud and on-premises environments, using infrastructure as code for consistency. He writes Python, JavaScript, PowerShell and Bash to automate compliance checks and incident response. He also builds secure, internally hosted AI chat platforms on private models such as Azure OpenAI. David holds GCIH, CySA+ and PenTest+, is a CyberAB Registered Practitioner, and earned degrees in Spanish, political science and IT management from UNC Greensboro.

Jared Sutton is a Staff Engineer for automation and security at Vizius, with more than 15 years across automation, security operations and enterprise systems engineering. His recent work centers on AI solutions for risk reduction, financial analysis and helping users chat with their own data. He builds security platforms and data pipelines and reverse-engineers undocumented data formats and protocols when needed, working in Python and Linux. Jared holds CCNA, LPIC-1 and AWS Developer Associate certifications and a B.S. in Computer Science. He also lists optimal Sudoku-solving algorithms among his interests.

Ross Morrill is a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Vizius with more than 15 years in systems engineering, security and client services. He focuses on Microsoft 365 security hardening, cloud security, network security architecture and aligning security with business needs. His experience includes Intune, MFA and SSO rollouts, EDR deployments, Azure migrations and PowerShell automation. Earlier, as a partner running a restaurant, he built a PCI DSS-compliant payment network with isolated guest Wi-Fi. Ross holds CompTIA Security+ and Network+ and a B.A. in Chemistry from Stony Brook University.

Nate Edwards is a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Vizius with more than 13 years in IT and security. He focuses on Microsoft 365 security hardening, cloud security, disaster recovery and business continuity, and vulnerability management and remediation. He has led infrastructure renewals, SIEM deployments, MFA rollouts and incident response, and builds AI-assisted threat detection workflows. A U.S. Navy veteran, Nate holds a B.S. in Information Systems and Cybersecurity and the ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity credential.

Kyl Gaston is Senior Compliance and Process Engineer at Vizius, where he leads cybersecurity compliance projects, project management and process improvement. He came to Vizius from operations leadership roles, including directing operations and project management for a consulting firm and overseeing an ISO 9001 certification effort. He holds more than 70 certifications, including PMP, ISO 19011 Lead Auditor and ISO 22301 business continuity. Kyl has a B.A. in Management from Virginia Wesleyan University and a master's in medical science, and he is fluent in English and Spanish.

Charis Brunson is a Senior Business Analyst at Vizius, focused on business operations, process efficiency and technology adoption. She keeps project timelines and cross-functional work on track, drawing on earlier work as a process manager, event coordinator and shipping director. She works across tools such as Asana, Procore, Office 365 and e-commerce platforms, and is a certified Scrum Master. Outside of process work, she has directed a ballet school, handling everything from curriculum and choreography to productions.

Stuart Voigt is Financial Operations Manager at Vizius, which he joined in 2026. He focuses on financial operations, forecasting and reporting, cash flow management and process improvement. Before Vizius he spent five years as a financial controller, running month-end close, pro forma statements, budgeting, product-line profitability analysis and cost accounting, and he later launched and led a regional sales operation. Stuart holds a business degree in finance and banking from Appalachian State University.

Gabriel Johnson is an Azure and AI Development Engineer at Vizius, which he joined in 2025. He focuses on Azure cloud architecture and AI, building secure cloud environments and intelligent systems for clients. Before Vizius he worked as a field and controls engineer, troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems and writing technical SOPs. He holds Microsoft AZ-900, AI-900 and AI-102 certifications and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Florida International University. For his capstone he built an AI basketball shot-tracking system on a Jetson Nano.

Tyler Merica is an Engineer at Vizius focused on AI development and automation. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Clemson University, plus associate degrees in mechanical engineering technology and engineering graphics from York Technical College. His background includes web application development, coding tutoring in Python and C, and running his own construction business. He holds Microsoft AZ-800 and AZ-801 and the Certified SolidWorks Associate credential. His Clemson senior design projects included a chess-playing robot that physically moves its own pieces.
